We have all heard that we need to drink eight glasses of water a day. Have you ever wondered if its really necessary? Well, dont be fooled, IT IS! Almost every cell in your body needs water to function properly. The human body is made up of 55 75 percent water and it is in constant need of being replenished.
Advantages of drinking water:
- Water lubricates your joints. Joint pain can decrease with an increase of water consumption.
- To eliminate water retention, drink more water.
- It helps in weight loss! Dehydration leads to excess body fat, poor muscle tone and size, increased toxicity, and joint and muscle soreness.
- Water will fill you up and act as an appetite suppressant.
So, how do you know if you are drinking enough water? Check out the color of your urine says Andrea Dunn which is a nutritionist at the Cleveland Clinic. If its pale yellow or clear, you are doing a good job of staying hydrated. But if its yellow or gold, you probably need to drink more water.
Most people want to know if they can substitute water for diet soft drinks, fruit juices, sport drinks or coffee. These drinks will quench your thirst but they add many calories to your days total. Also, many of the diet drinks contain chemicals that are harmful to your health. If you dont enjoy the taste of water try adding lemon and drinking it cold. Do your very best to stick with water with no substitutions!
Jeremiah 30:17
For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds.
Remember, you have today what you confessed yesterday! Every time you drink water, confess the word of God over your body. Its powerful!
